A good size room with patio door (Room 2 on the plan). This is a really comfortable clean and friendly home. The current excellent tenants are hard-working young professionals who enjoy a well-run, tidy, non-smoking environment - they are very welcoming. The age range of the house is mid- 20s and a tenant of approximately similar age is probably the best fit. We simply look for sensible, tidy, personable housemates who will be considerate in a house share - consideration is probably the most important thing in an HMO!
The house is Edwardian, and therefore spacious. It is fully modernised and well-maintained in order fully to meet licensing standards - and so it’s high on safety. There is good shared living space - with a separate lounge/dining room and a decent garden. There is a weekly cleaning lady for communal areas and the house has very fast broadband. The room is £750 PCM; it has a nice character mantelpiece and a convenient wash hand basin.
The rent includes cleaning - with £120 from the £750 set aside each month for the variable bills which include: Council tax (Band D -£1920 pa, or £32 a month each), water, utilities, BT broadband and TV licence.
The location is highly convenient for a number of bus routes, enabling easy access to North Greenwich underground and DLR.; Westcombe Park National Rail Station is a short 5/6 minute walk away - 15 minutes to London Bridge; 20 mins Cannon Street.
The locality has a huge variety of shops - from local ones at Blackheath Standard to a large retail park on the Woolwich Road. It’s also close to Greenwich Park and all the amenities of Blackheath and Greenwich. If you like swimming, there is a fantastic all year round heated outdoor pool with excellent gym about a mile away.
