Double Room in Roehampton

Hello, we are seeking a fourth, person for this quiet maisonette, which has a shared living room/kitchen with full bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs, like a house inside.

The room is lovely!... And ready now, it's has been plastered on the ceiling and painted and has new flooring and many other improvements.

The room is £800.00 per calendar month and is the same amount for the deposit/bond.

All bills are included and some of the amount covers a fortnightly cleaner, washing up liquid, black bags, toilet tissue and kitchen roll.

Our cleaner visits every two weeks but doesn't clean the bedrooms, but of course there's always the day to day stuff to clean so someone who likes to help is appreciated.

The flat is clean and quiet, is always being improved in some way and things get fixed without much delay.

There's a hob and separate oven with grill, three fridges and two washing machines, one is also a dryer, and there's a large drying rack/maiden for non urgent items and a smaller one in the room.

All the appliances, including the boiler, are covered with a maintenance contract so if anything breaks down it gets fixed quickly. This is a real home from home.

There's a brand new mattress on the bed, still in the wrapping. You supply bedding, but there's usually a selection of clean, random bedclothes if needed until you get settled in, sometimes people are just off the plane and don't have time to go shopping.

We are on the second floor (no lift unfortunately) on a quiet estate and close to the shops, which include a couple of supermarkets: Co-Op & Costcutter. There's a gym five minutes walk away, newly refurbished.

Asda is a couple of bus stops away and a big Tesco is in New Malden, a bit farther. The nearest Lidl is in Putney.

There's a post office, library, pubs and of course the famous universities.

There are plans to demolish some buildings on the other side of the estate to upgrade it, and the plans seem very promising, with many new facilities.

The nearest British Rail stations are Putney and Barnes, tube is East Putney or Putney Bridge (for the centre) or Hammersmith. As an example Blackfriars is around 45 minutes on the district line from Putney Bridge, the 85 bus takes you there.

There is a good bus service to take you to and from Roehampton. The main bus routes that go to or pass through Roehampton are the 85, 170, 265, 419, 430, and 493.

This is a non-smoking flat.

You can park in the area quite easily, first come first served, never so crowded that you can't park.

Wimbledon, Kingston, Fulham, Putney, Sheen and Richmond are all within 30 minutes by public transport.

The shower is great, and the bathroom had recent work done and is getting more upgrades soon.

The existing lodgers have been here for over 4/5 years. People generally stay here for longer periods, which I'm looking for, but I need a commitment for at least six months.
