I’m looking for a friendly female lodger to join our warm, friendly, harmonious home in beautiful Barnes.

I live here with my adult daughter and we’ve been fortunate to have had lovely long-term lodgers over the years. One stayed with us for two years before moving on to live with friends and begin her PhD journey, and our current lodger has been with us for three years and is now relocating to be closer to family while caring for a loved one. We’ve kept in touch and genuinely enjoyed sharing our home with them, so I’d love to find someone who feels like a good fit for the space.

About the room:

• Good amount of storage space
• Chilled environment for relaxing, working or studying

About the flat:

• Move-in available from now.
• Just 7 minutes from Barnes Station – around 20 minutes into Central London
• Free parking available (rare for this area!)
• Close to the river, parks, cafés, pubs and restaurants
• Near Richmond Park for anyone who enjoys nature, walks or cycling
• All bills included

A little about us:

I’m friendly, active and easy-going. I had my children quite young, so we’ve always had a close relationship and there’s a lovely, relaxed energy in our home. My daughter is now 31 and we’re often laughing together or catching up over a cuppa. I enjoy cycling, getting outdoors and keeping active, and while we both have busy lives, home is somewhere we love coming back to. It’s peaceful, welcoming and somewhere everyone can genuinely relax. We enjoy a chat when our paths cross but also really respect each other’s independence and space.

What I’m looking for:

• Clean and tidy
• Someone who values a peaceful and considerate home environment
• Happy to help keep shared spaces clean and pleasant for everyone

Friends and partners visiting is absolutely fine, although this isn’t a party house.

Extras:

I provide household basics such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, laundry detergent and a few shared kitchen essentials to make life easier.

Viewings:

This is my home so I prefer in-person viewings because I think meeting face to face gives us both a better feel for whether the space and household are a good fit.
