Tooting room avail £800 plus bills

Hi huns, I’m Lissie 🧡 I’m moving for a new job and I’m looking for someone to sublet a room in my cute Tooting flat while I’m gone.

The room:

A bright, spacious, furnished double room with lots of natural light. Recently decorated (January 2025). Comes with bed/ storage/ lamp etc, but you’re welcome to bring additional furniture if necessary. There is space for a desk, if you need to WFH.

The flat:

A top floor flat, surrounded by trees in a really friendly building (I get on really well with my neighbours, which is rare in London!) There is a shared kitchen, living room, bathroom and balcony.

The location:

The flat is on the border of Tooting and Streatham, right by Tooting Common so there’s plenty of green space nearby. The nearest tube is Tooting Bec (Northern Line) and it’s a 10 minute walk to Streatham/Streatham Common stations. There are buses to Brixton, Wimbledon, Clapham and Balham from just outside the flat.

The landlord:

Me! I bought this place 3 years ago and I have loved living here. I’ve been renting out my spare bedroom to short term lets since then, but now I’m looking for someone who is looking for something a bit more long term (ideally 6 months +). I have a cleaner who comes once a fortnight.

The flatmates:

You will be living with my current flatmate Alex (they/them) who is completely fab, super social and wonderful to have a cosy evening with at the end of a long day! They are a ray of sunshine in this already very sunny home ☀️ Alex works as a speech therapist, so is out of the flat most days. They have just moved to London from South Africa and they love exploring the city.

Move in date:

Flexible, but ideally around end of Sep/ beginning of Oct

The price:

£800 per month plus bills
