I am looking for a flatmate to share this lovely split-level 2-bedroom flat. I am the only other tenant and you’ll share just with me. The price of the room is £950 all bills included (gas/electricity, water, broadband, tv licence, Merton council tax).
The closest tube station is Colliers Wood (5 minutes walk from the flat); vibrant Tooting Broadway is also within walking distance (10-15 minutes).
Ideal location if you work at St George’s Hospital. Great transport connections (we are on the tube!) but off the main road, so the flat is in a very quiet and leafy area. We are next to Wandle Meadow Nature Park with its charming path along the river Wandle. Lots of large shops around, including Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Aldi, Next etc. Small local coffee shops and pubs are also lovely, and vibrant Tooting Broadway is very close by. London Gym Colliers Wood is a short stroll away.
The room has a brand new double bed, bought expressly by the landlord for the new tenant, and a new mattress (you’ll be the first to use them) with an ample fitted wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors and an additional storage cabinet. It comes with a bedside table and there is room to accommodate a small desk, although if you work from home you can also use the living room with its comfy table and sofas.
The flat has been recently redecorated and freshly painted. It has a sunny south-facing garden with a deck and a table and chairs, ideal in the summer. There is also a garage and a private parking space. Open plan kitchen is fully equipped with electric hub, oven, microwave, fridge, and washing machine. Super fast broadband, ideal for when you need to work from home.
The bathroom (with shower over bath) and all common spaces are shared just between the two of us.
I work in the Roehampton area and I do a combination of office and wfh. I work in the office, occasionally from home. Sometimes I am also away on business so you’ll have the flat all to yourself. I’m sociable and friendly but very respectful of others’ space.
PLEASE NOTICE: This is not a sublet! You will need to be on the tenancy agreement (which for now is just in my name) and so you must have an income and pass the credit and reference check. The landlord is extremely nice and responsive to any issue. I’m looking for someone who is willing to make this a home; clean and tidy. Not a party house.
