1 Bright Double Room in Spacious Clapham House

1 bright double room available, with a choice between a smaller room (for £800 a month) or a larger double room for (£915 a month) with bills included.

The smaller double bedroom (Room 1) is £800 per month (bills included) comes furnished with a double bed, a chest of drawers, floor to ceiling shelving, and a closet.

The larger double bedroom (Room 2) is slightly bigger and goes for £915 per month (bills included). It comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and is big enough for a desk if you're WFH. The smaller room can fit a very small desk but we also have a large dining table that can be used to WFH as well.

The spacious house is on a quiet street between Clapham Common station and Brixton station (15 min walk and 5 min bus ride to each- we are 1 min away from the bus stop) with plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby. It has a large kitchen, dining table, living room, garden, and various bits of additional storage throughout the house. The room is available until September, with the possibility to extend the contract afterwards.

The house also has 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and wine cooler. Bills are included in the price and include Wi-Fi, gas, electric, water, Council Tax, and a fortnightly cleaner. We liaise directly with our lovely landlord, who is very responsive and proactive in dealing with any issues that arise.

Current housemates are super welcoming and friendly! Cas is Canadian and works in climate change policy (from home at the moment) and Christina is a British midwife working for the NHS. We’re a social bunch and enjoy chill nights in watching Netflix, as well as sharing the occasional bottle of wine (or two). We like to hang out as a house but we also respect each other’s space. We’re looking forward to being more social and outgoing once allowed!

Ideally, we’re looking for a male or female student or young professional around our age (early 20s/30) who’s sociable and who will look after themselves to keep the house tidy and cozy.
