Description
I am sadly leaving and looking for someone to take over my room in this amazing house, located in a private mews literally right next to Brockwell Park! I have been here for two years and am only moving out because my Visa is expiring and I have to head back to Canada!
The house is right by the park with a park entrance 2minute walk from the house. We also have a garden where we can soak up the sunshine and have BBQs in summer!
About the house:
The house is really spacious, spread over 3 floors with a large kitchen, living room, 1 toilet and 1 shower &bathroom, conservatory and garden (which is ideal for enjoying the sunshine in the summer! )
The room is very large with a double bed and with plenty space to work in your room/set up a reading corner etc. The room has a large two door closet + dresser.
The house is fully furnished and has all the mod cons (dishwasher, washing machine, TV) .
About the existing housemates:
We are 3 single gals in our late twenties / early 30s who work across the charity/sustainable finance sectors and do a mix of WFH and in office working. We are all generally have busy lives but like to hang out when we can and watch movies.
You'd be moving into a really friendly house with 3 very amazing girls: Beth, Charlotte and Rhiannon. Just looking for a friendly, laidback housemate with common interests.
Would be lovely to have a friend move in rather than just someone to live with! They're very sociable and love to hang out when we are all in the house and tend to do monday telly nights or communal love island and bake off viewings when those are on. Alongside other hangouts including trips to the local coffee shop when we are all WFH.
You'll be moving in with a very friendly neighbourhood cat (Waffles), who belongs to our neighbours but loves coming in for cuddles!
About you:
We are looking for another girl in her late twenties who is interested in hanging out as a flat when we are in the house, but also has their own thing going on. We are regulars at the quiz at Effra Social, so looking for a flatmate that would be keen to join for that - what's your specialist subjects? We go fortnightly and never get on the podium usually, but it’s a good laugh!
We do have a visiting cat (not ours but likes to come and visit) so ideally you are not allergic.
Someone who is fairly tidy and respectful of peoples space, and willing to chip in with cleaning and booking the pub quiz.
We all love Bake off and trashy 2000 TV shows so ideally if you are up for watching either of those you'd fit right in!
Location:
The house is 15minutes walk from Brixton station (Victoria line), Herne hill station, and Tulse hill station, we're on a central bus route too so you can get around London really easily. Very well connected for getting to pretty much all of London!
Plus the victoria line is on the night tube so easy to get home late, with a McDonalds en route home
Herne Hill has a farmers market every Sunday and loads of restaurants, pubs and independent shops. Brixton also has a great range of independent eateries, bars and coffee places (particularly in Brixton Village), plus all the usual high street stores. And as it's in a gated mews, it means we don't get the street traffic and noise you'd usually have in such a central location
Other:
Bills tend to be around £90-100 each/month including council tax, internet, water, gas &electric
Looking for a flatmate to join the house from anytime after Dec 20th. There is some flexibility on move in as I understand it’s the holidays but I will be out from the 20th!
If you think you'd be a good fit, do drop me a message with a bit about yourself and we can set up a viewing!
Look forward to hearing from you!
