Description
Hi!
3 of us (Ali, Tim and Alex) are renewing our tenancy for a 5th year to begin again on 12 September and so we're on the lookout for a new fourth housemate.
We have a good sized double room in a large, 4 bedroom house available in a very friendly residential street, halfway between Clapham Common and Brixton. Clapham Common (Northern Line) is 10 minutes walk away and Brixton (Victoria
Line) isn't much further if you fancy a freshen-up walk to work in the morning, but there is a bus stop at the end of the road with buses every 2 minutes towards the Common and Brixton.
At the moment, we're 3 young professionals all working in Banking/Finance.
The house has a large kitchen and living room with TV, BT TV, Dishwasher and hundreds of pint glasses that definitely weren't taken from the many bars and pubs of London. The main areas of the house still have the original wooden floors which we think is even more attractive than a Sunday roast on the pallet sofa in our garden made by our own fair hands. We also have a cellar for storage, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. Talking of the garden, we have a large table and chairs, plenty of shrubbery, a fire pit a BBQ and the aforementioned hand-crafted pallet sofa for those summer evenings. For us, this is one of the many things that made us want to renew the tenancy again after 4 years.
Your bedroom would be upstairs, has original wooden floors and a large window. It comes with a 8ft x 4ft wardrobe, a second wardrobe built in, chest of drawers, double bed and chair. The upstairs also has a large, modern bathroom which would be shared by you, myself and Tim (one of the other housemates).
In our new housemate, we'd love someone sociable who would be happy to chill in front of the telly, go for a drink, or just go out and do it properly. We all also have periods where we have a lot of work on so of course we understand the need for quieter times! We frequently host BBQs at weekends (or Ali makes a solo effort on a Wednesday) to make the most of our garden and the more the merrier.
If you like the sound of our house/us, then don't hesitate to drop me a message either on here or on my phone and I can give you any extra info you so desire. If you want to arrange a viewing, we are looking to be available most evenings/weekends, but do just ask and I can let you know when you can come round and meet us.
We all look forward to hearing from you!
Cheers,
Alistair, Tim and Alex
