A friendly and ‘with it’ older person with Parkinson’s and reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also appreciate some practical help with tasks such as picking up shopping or prescriptions, cooking and sharing a few simple healthy meals each week, prompts and reminders (including re medication), accompanying on some outings and ad hoc other practical help (such as simple IT, changing lightbulbs_ and ad hoc errands.

The accommodation on offer is a beautifully presented single bedroom (single bed with storage space underneath and a large chest of drawers) and a bathroom with over-bath shower that is primarily for the Sharer’s own use, except when family members are staying. There is a also a kitchen with dining area, sitting room and pretty garden.

The property is in an excellent location in a lovely residential enclave almost equidistant between Nine Elms Underground Station, Stockwell Underground Station and the Oval Underground Station (approx. 10 minutes’ walk to each). There are also many buses nearby.

The person has a wide range of interests including classical music, reading good books, watching interested documentaries and films, opera, travel, fashion, antiques, art, card games etc

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
