Description
Hi all, I’m looking for a new flatmate for the second room in my 2-bed rental. My amazing flatmate Sabrina is sadly moving out as her work is relocating her to Spain.
It’s a GORGEOUS 2 bed in Shepherd’s Bush (W12).
TENANCY TERM
Long term let, we locked our contract in until May 2027 but we have also negotiated a break clause part of the way through.
Room is available from January (flexible dates).
References and a deposit are required through the estate agent.
ABOUT THE FLAT
Bedrooms are on opposite sides of the flat so there is privacy and THE BIGGEST garden I’ve seen in a London home ever.
In the flat it’s me and my cat (Tom) in the room at the front of the house and your room is on the other side of the flat facing the garden.
Flat was completely NEWLY REFURBISHED top to bottom when I moved in so everything is pretty new, it’s a really special property and well below market value.
Please DM me if you want to see the place/hear more and to tell me about you a bit.
The building is super friendly (but we have our own entrance) and the area is nice: you have Ravenscourt Park down the road, Westfields a 5minute bus away or a 15min walk and our road itself has a range of boutiques and independent cafes (or a Gail’s if that’s more your style).
This flat has become a home and is such a rare find (I viewed over 200 places before I found this one) and I hope whoever moves in respects and loves the property as much as I do.
ABOUT YOU
I'm looking for a single occupancy professional female. Someone who is responsible, kind and friendly, someone who is clean (me and my flatmate take it in turns each Sunday to clean the flat which is usually pretty quick but we’re also neat and clean throughout the week and I’d like that to stay the same), someone who loves animals (I have the friendliest cat you will ever meet, a proper lap cat who thinks everyone is his best friend but he’s also respectful and polite so he doesn’t rip up furniture etc.).
My home is my bit of peace so essentially a nice environment without drama/just a good vibe with chilled people.
TRANSPORT
13min walk from H&C and Circle, 15min walk from Central, or a 20min walk to District and Piccadilly lines. Tons of buses and night buses to/from Oxford Circus area.
COST
£1200/month + bills (usually around £120/month).
ABOUT ME
I’m a 31yo comedy TV producer and work half from home/half in the office. I’m friendly but also pretty independent so hopefully a nice mix of having a friendly face around but not going to be all up in your grill. One thing which could be a plus or a negative is I’m super clean. I like a clean flat and would like a flatmate who also shares those values. I clean the flat as I go/if I make mess but also do a proper clean once a week on weekends (and would expect a flatmate to share this responsibility or cover a cleaner to do that, takes no more than a couple hours for a very deep clean so shouldn’t be too arduous). I throw the occasional dinner party but promise I’m not raucous. I’m a gym-goer and like to keep fit and active. I eat absolutely everything and really love cooking and every summer I get into my gardening and love to grow vegetables and herbs.
As for Tom, like I say he’s a very friendly cuddly cat. He’s an old boy and was found roaming Italy in a pretty bad way until we adopted him and now he's a spoilt little prince. He’s a homebody and spends most of his days either sleeping on my bed or sleeping in the garden. He does have a little friend, a tiny black kitten who comes to visit him in the garden every morning and the two of them sometimes roam around the neighbourhood together so they’re pretty well known to the neighbours and very loved across the nearby houses. He’s basically just a loveable ball of fluff and isn’t a noisy troublemaker except for the occasional chirp to say hello as he’s passing.
Thank you! Xx
p. s. The flat came ‘part’ furnished (basically empty) so I’ve decked it out. My current flatmate Sabrina got a couple of extra bits for her room (a second wardrobe, a small desk etc.) and is happy to sell them at a discount if you’d like (they look really nice in the room and are really handy).
It’s a GORGEOUS 2 bed in Shepherd’s Bush (W12).
