This is a lovely comfortable single room in a 3 bedroomed Victorian terraced house in Hanwell/West Ealing borders. Linen and duvet can be supplied if required.
You will be sharing the house with me, a retired woman in my sixties, and a 16 year old very friendly cat. You will be able to have access to all areas of the house with the exception of my bedroom. I’m happy to store some items in the loft if needed.
The house has a family bathroom upstairs, with walk in shower and separate bath. There is a ground floor we, eat-in kitchen, separate dining room and a sitting room as well as a good sized (for this area) garden. It is fully modernised. The house has gas central heating upstairs, underfloor heating in the sitting room and hall and an electric radiator in the kitchen.
The kitchen has a brand new electric induction hob, two ovens, a separate microwave, dishwasher, combined washer/dryer and a fridge freezer.
The property is 5 mins walk from local shops, including Lidl and Sainsbury’s, 10 mins walk from Waitrose and local parks, 12 minute walk from West Ealing Elizabeth Line station. 4 buses (E3, E8, 207, 483) all stop at the top of the road and the last three will take you up to Ealing Broadway for even more transport choices.
My ideal lodger is a sensible but not boring person, who would be able to look after the house in my absence. I am not looking for a best mate but we need to be able to get along, with mutual respect. If you work from home then no more than 3 days a week in the house.
Guests (overnight or otherwise) by arrangement only and that also applies to me.
You must be working and you must be a non-smoker, including “social smoking” as I have asthma.
The cat will be cared for by me, but it is essential that you would be willing to occasionally look after him as requested, most likely just feeding him and giving him some company.
At the moment all household bills (including council tax band D) are included in the rent. I am anticipating that my fuel bills will increase whilst I have a lodger but I may ask for extra if they seem to be unreasonably large.
