An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of up to 15 hours’ help each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She is well supported with a live-in carer and cleaner, but would appreciate the reassurance of a second person in her home overnight in case of a rare emergency, plus some practical help with cooking a few simple meals, laying up and clearing when her friends visit, and ad hoc other practical help and errands as may arise. She has an elderly cat, and occasionally feeding the cat would be helpful too.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom (currently furnished with a single bed that can be made into a double with a second single) with its own bathroom and kitchenette, plus shared use of the home’s main kitchen. (The lady is often entertaining, so the sitting room is only shared at her invitation.)

The property is in an excellent location just 5 minutes’ walk from Holland Park underground station (Central Line) and 8 minutes’ walk from Notting Hill Gate underground station (central, circle and district lines). The area is also well-served by buses.

The lady is very sociable with many friends. She is an avid reader with a keen interest in history, and also loves classical music.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, polite, helpful and reliable non-smoker who is a good communicator and is happy to fit into a busy household. As she is hard-of-hearing, clear spoken English is essential.
