Some of us work from home so we can be pretty flexible on times 😊
About us:
We are all queer, a combination of introverted/extroverted and mostly neurodivergent! We met through Spare Room last year and have got along really well to make this house into a home 😊
Looking for either a queer person or a strong ally as we need the house to remain a safe space for us - we really need to maintain our trans inclusive, pro-Palestine, and anti-racist space. We are looking for someone aged between 24 to 40.
We have a range of interests from board games, theatre, reading, reality TV, gaming, hibernating (which is a genuine interest 😂) and occasional night outs. We are all equally happy in our own company but also always up for a chat and the occasional house event!
We would like to keep a respectful, clean and semi-social house that feels like a home, we all have our own social lives in London so we aren't on top of each other in the house either 😊
The House:
Our house is 5 mins from Harringay Green Lanes overground station. It's a 12 min walk (or 5 mins bus) to Manor House tube station and 15 mins walk (or 5 mins bus) to Turnpike Lane Station. We have a bus stop right at the bottom of the road which take you to Finsbury Park (15 mins bus, 30 mins walk), central London and further into North London. At the top of the hill we have Harringay Railway station (Thameslink) with direct trains to Old Street, Moorgate, Finsbury Park, Alexandra Palace and Hertfordshire.
We have 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms (with separate toilets), a garden, sitting room and conservatory. The room available is on the ground floor, and it's the 3rd biggest room in the house with direct access to the garden! It's £690 before bills. Bills are between £80 - £100 per month, we all take responsibility for one bill and then balance it out through Splitwise 😊
Accessibility info:
2 steps into the house
Ground floor consists of: 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 bathroom (with bathtub) and 1 w/c
1 step into garden
14 steps to first floor (not steep), then 3 small steps on first floor landing area.
First floor has: 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen and 1 w/c
11 steps to 2nd floor (not steep)
Second floor has: 1 bedroom and one bathroom (with bathtub)
The ground floor is mostly level but has narrow doorways with a step down into the conservatory.
It's not a scent free household but we do try! The road is relatively quiet as we are off the main road. The house is pretty quiet as it's an older house with thick walls so unless people are trying to make noise we normally can't hear what's going on in other places in the house 😊
Logistical details:
Our estate agents are pretty strict and have asked for professionals earning above 27k and have not allowed benefits when we first asked but happy to have a debate with them about it if needed! Ideally someone aged 24 to 40.
We would be aiming to sign another year contract by the end of October so looking to have someone who can be referenced and put on the new contract by the 28th of October. It's a joint tenancy and we plan on being here long term and would appreciate someone looking for the same 😊 There may be some additional costs for referencing but we will update with those as soon as we know.
Viewings will be taking place between the 5th and 7th of October.
Let us know what time and day that week works for you in your message with some information about yourself!
Some of us work from home so we can be pretty flexible on times with enough notice 😊
Any questions please come back to me 😊
