Description
LGBTIQ friendly.
Hi, We have 1 room available in our large communal warehouse home from 1st February.
The room is a good size and has a skylight window. It is located on the upper floor of the warehouse (has sloped ceiling) Prices: £750 single person, bills included.
Our warehouse is within a gated complex amongst many other lovely warehouse communities. You will be sharing with around 20 other people and 2 lovely cats. The house can be very quiet and chilled out, much more so than you would ever expect for a house comprising of 20+ people.
We're a larger unit but we all have rather different schedules which means the place never feels too busy. The existing housemates work in a variety of different fields, some creative professionals and some in other industries.
There are more fridges than you can shake a stick at. We have 4 bathrooms including 1 bath and 3 shower rooms, which are always more than adequate to fulfil everyone's needs.
The ideal candidate would be someone who could fit in well, are open-minded and laid back, who like to socialise and engage with a small community but does not depend solely upon it.
Someone looking to make a home and be a part of an engaged community.
Being clean, tidy, engaging with cleaning rota/routines, paying the house kitty (£15) and generally doing their bit to keep the space workable for all is essential.
We want someone who will really get involved with the community here and not treat the space like a hostel or keep themselves to themselves.
This space is our home. Many of us have lived here for a long time so it's important that the new housemate comes with the right energy
We aren't a "party" house but are certainly very social, this means we tend to keep things chilled during the week, and then have gatherings of friends over at the weekends.
The Landlord has recently stated a preference for working creative professionals in their 30s. We generally try and keep a mix of ages in the space and we range from 22 to 63.
The landlord asks for 3 months bank statements, and either employer or previous landlord reference.
We’d currently prefer POC & LGBTQI candidates, If that's you please let us know!!!
We are also looking at prioritising female candidates. We probably can’t consider male candidates at this time as we want to maintain our gender balance.
If in a couple the price of the room is £900 to account for the extra bills costs.
Ultimately though we will look for the best fit in terms of energy and vibe for both the existing household and new tenant as a happy house is key!
Some attractive features of the space include the creative/performance area/gym area, which is used for a variety of creative purposes, including Photoshoots. We also have a projector area and large garden and a workshop area.
All bills and toilet roll included.
Our core values are ones of Consideration, Compassion, Communication, Accountability and respect.
When these values are adhered to we Co create a beautiful community environment. .
If you're creative, lively and laid back, give me a shout!
Please let me know a little about you, who you are, your work and schedule etc... so I can arrange a viewing.
