Overview:
We are seeking a responsible, compassionate, and reliable individual to lodge in our home. This arrangement offers significantly reduced rent in exchange for substantial contributions to the household, including providing companionship and direct support/care for an elderly resident (my grandmother), which includes administering daily medication.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Someone with demonstrable experience or aptitude for caregiving (references may be required). Patience, reliability, and trustworthiness are essential.

Must be comfortable and competent in administering medication accurately and responsibly as instructed.

Willing to perform regular household chores including cleaning of communal areas and potentially assisting with cooking.

Seeking affordable accommodation and genuinely willing to fulfil the caregiving and household duties as a core part of the agreement.

Mature students (e. g., healthcare-related fields) or individuals with relevant backgrounds might be suitable, but understanding the commitment is key.

Spacious Master Double Room (First Floor), Furnished.

Sharing a bathroom with only one other person.

Located in a 3-story house with garden access.

Fully fitted kitchen with appliances and communal dining space.

Peaceful residential street with security alarm.

Free Off-Street/Driveway Parking.

Location & Transport:

Excellent transport links: 10 min walk to Mill Hill Broadway Thameslink station.

Short bus journey to Edgware Tube Station (Northern Line).

Convenient for local hospitals, universities, and amenities.

Rent & Terms:

£600 per month (single occupancy) - Rent is significantly reduced reflecting the expected caregiving and household duties.

£1200 per month (double occupancy) - Only suitable if both individuals fully understand and are willing/able to share the required duties. Specific suitability criteria apply, please enquire.

Deposit / Bond: £600 (Adjusted to match one month's single rent)

Minimum term: 6 months preferred with 3 months probation(Shorter lets potentially considered)

Available from: 22 April 2025 (Flexible).

Electricity, Gas, Water, High-Speed Broadband, Council Tax, TV Licence.

--- CRITICAL: Required Duties & Expectations ---

Care Support for Elderly Grandmother: This is a primary responsibility. Duties include:

Providing companionship and monitoring well-being.

Administering pre-packaged daily medication accurately and on schedule. (Full instructions provided, but competence and reliability are non-negotiable).

Assisting with other potential needs (e. g., reminders, light support).

Household Chores: Regular cleaning of communal areas (kitchen, shared bathroom, hallways), helping keep the house tidy, assistance with cooking/meal prep.

Time Commitment: Expect to dedicate a significant amount of time each week to these duties. The specific schedule and tasks will be clearly defined in a detailed written agreement.

This is NOT standard lodging. The reduced rent directly reflects these essential responsibilities. Failure to perform duties reliably will be grounds for ending the agreement.

Other House Rules:

No smoking inside. Pets considered (discuss).
