APPLICATIONS FROM WOMEN preferred PLEASE

Available 1 January - 30 June (renewable 6-month contract):

Characterful, spacious room located in a 1288 square feet, top-floor flat on Muswell Hill Broadway.

You would be sharing the flat with me - the owner - my exceptionally well-behaved Parson Russell Terrier and the occasional Airbnb guest in the second living room.

Room is fully furnished, comprising double bed, in-built shelf, mirror, desk, and extensive wardrobe. Extra storage is available in the attic.

The flat benefits from two living rooms, one serving as an office which you are welcome to use, and another with two balconies with sweeping views over the London skyline. Additional shelving in the hall is also available for book storage.

The kitchen is well-equipped, including oven, hob, microwave, juice blender, pressure cooker and a host of cutlery and gadgets.

All bills, including weekly cleaning, are included within the rent.

Muswell Hill Broadway has all the shops and amenities one could dream of, and the vast green spaces of Alexandra Palace, Highgate and Queens Woods on its doorstep. The neighbourhood is thoroughly well connected, with buses taking you to Highgate tube (Northern) from door to door in 9mn.

About me:
I'm a 32-year old freelance environmental journalist and MA student in Russian and Post-Soviet Politics at UCL. French and British, I grew up in Brittany, France, with a French father and English mother and have roughly spent my whole adult life in England, with stints in Belgium, Spain, and Germany.
My interests are vast and wide-ranging. I am a polyglot (French, Spanish, German and Russian), with a BA in languages and love for literature, the arts and politics. Over the past year I have attempted to reconcile my interest in the climate crisis with my increasing Russophilia through my MA, but also a new podcast, The Eurasian Climate Brief, which covers the climate politics of the post-soviet region.

As a flatmate, I am clean and sociable while also respecting your need for space. It would be nice to share meals every now and again and to develop a friendship, but rest assured I will not be on top of you. I appreciate calm in the flat from 10pm during weekdays, and more flexibility and fun over the weekends.

About you:
You are a woman aged 25-50, like dogs and care for the flat as our home. You have an intellectual or/and artistic bent. You are also open to my international friends visiting and tolerate, if not join in, the occasional party or gathering every two months or so (though of course, this has changed under the pandemic).

In turn, you are very welcome to bring your partners and friends in.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Natalie
