Hello,
We have a warm, spacious and friendly 3 bedroom home, it’s open plan downstairs onto a large patio with stunning uninterrupted views across London.
The living area is lovely year round but really comes into its own in summer where the French windows look out over the large patio area. They all open right up which is great for the hot days and summer barbecues. The patio is on the hill and overlooks the allotments so you get uninterrupted views with nobody looking onto our space.
The house itself is set back and the road is very quiet and green with free parking. It’s moments from both Alexandra palace and the broadway. There are wonderful views from every floor in the house, on a clear day you can see through to the Thames estuary, city lights twinkle at night.
The house is currently two laid back guys aged 39 and 41 who like to catch up after work and share the odd meal, watch a film and spontaneously hanging out whilst also being respectful of each others space.
We are kind of looking for someone to slot into the vibe of the house by being friendly as it’s more of a friendly home rather than a house where the tenants don’t see each other or converse much.
There’s also a studio flat downstairs underneath the patio where Ivania lives, coming from Brazil she specialises in cooking bbq which we are looking forward to!
It’s more her own space downstairs so we won’t see her as often but she will be around from time to time.
We are generally quiet especially during the week and this certainly isn’t a party house, we’ve both got that out of our systems and now more into healthy living. Occasionally we have gatherings and some pub visits and we both enjoy watch sporting events, going to music gigs and generally enjoying the peace and quiet vibe of the house.
We are both dog lovers too, one of us works as a full time dog walker so about once a month there will be a dog around the house whilst clients are away on holiday. So ideally you like dogs too! We go for dog walks and are ideally placed next to Alexandra Park.
Im living in the top room, 39 years old, chilled, love a good film having studied film and also enjoy the football, am currently working in between projects at the moment but eventually will also be going into dog training and dog walking.
Tom is the other housemate, 41 years old who is a dog walker, loves cooking good meals and can’t wait to fire up the summer bbq. Also enjoys hiking, being outside as much as possible, healthy living having studied acupuncture's, good soulful music and reading all sorts of interesting stuff.
The room is a large double with several built in wardrobes and the house is warm being well insulated, it warms up quick so we often only have the heating on for a few hours in the evening.
You’d be sharing the bathroom with Tom as Joe upstairs has his own en suite. It has a shower with good pressure and a nice bath too.
The kitchen is spacious and kitted out well which makes for cooking good meals and leads out on to the sitting room, all with warm wooden floors.
There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, built in oven, fridge freezer and loads of cupboard space in the kitchen.
The rest of the house is fully furnished, habitat sofas, big tv and projector and linen floor length curtains.
We have a cleaner that comes for 2 hours once a week. That said we still want someone who is clean and tidy in the communal areas and won’t be leaving everything for the cleaner to do!
We are located in the heart of Muswell hill only a few minutes walk from the broadway with shops , restaurants and all the supermarkets. Moments walk from Alexandra palace and 5-10 minutes bus commute to Highgate tube, East Finchley or Finsbury park.
Bills are not included but come to about £150 a month. This includes council tax band E, gas & electric, water, internet.
The landlord needs a deposit of 1 month and first rent upfront, usual checks will be carried out online. The room is available immediately but for the right person we can wait a month if that’s the notice period you need to give.
If you have a dog that is well behaved and gets on with other dogs then it would of course be welcome as we are dog people and love animals
