Description
My guest room is available. It's a double. (Not huge, but has double bed, desk, sofa, and there are big built-in cupboards.)
The house is set back from a small road. Very quiet, with a lovely garden and small lawn.
We're in Zone 3. Nearest bus stop is one minute; nearest tube is 20 minutes walk (Highgate). There's space for a bike. And free car parking on the road.
An easygoing home environment is crucial.
I'm a university lecturer. My political colours: deep red, deep green, anti-Zionist.
I ticked the box "LGBT and Veggie preferred," but no problem if you're straight or omnivore.
I'm away, at my partner's place, for much of the time, sometimes for months at a stretch. Anyone who lives here therefore needs to be able to look after the place reasonably well -- don't block the drain, for example. (And if you do, work out how to unblock it.)
For a few months this autumn, a friend is using my bedroom as he finishes writing a book; I won't be here.
The house has a heat pump. Kitchen has induction hob, air fryer, microwave.
I'm not a stickler for cleanliness or tidiness, but I ask for some surfaces to be kept largely dry (e. g. shower walls, kitchen surfaces) and clean (e. g. the hob).
You would move in ideally on 4 September, or any time in the first two weeks of Sept is fine. After that, we can discuss.
