Cozy double room available in airy 2-bed flat in Muswell Hill - perfect if you want a comfy base, more homey than hectic.

You’ll be sharing with me - 27, work in finance, and when I’m not at the office you’ll usually find me doing pilates, checking out the latest exhibition, or getting competitive over a board game. I'd love a flatmate I can chat with over an amateurishly made spicy marg or on a hot girl walk, but I also know the value of personal space and quiet time. Think friendly, considerate, and relaxed - that’s the vibe. Also living here is the true star of the flat: my cat. He's ridiculously affectionate and will happily keep you company if you're ever working from home.

The room on offer is a small but bright double overlooking Alexandra Palace with enough space for a bed and storage (+extra storage throughout the flat). It's calm and makes for the perfect retreat at the end of the day. It comes unfurnished (as does the flat), so you can decorate and arrange it however you like to make it your own! There's currently a double mattress, a clothes rail, and a shelving unit available in the room - happy for you to use them or bring in your own stuff.

The flat itself is cared for by an amazing landlady - she handles everything without ever hovering and sometimes even drops off her home-baked goodies. It's one of those rare landlord situations where you actually feel looked after. There's a large open plan living room/kitchen and a 3 piece bathroom (bubble baths optional, but a possibility). I'm mindful about sharing the space, so if you also work from home sometimes, it won't feel cramped as there's enough room for both of us to do our thing without stepping on each other's toes.

I'm looking for someone who's reliable, tidy (but not obsessive about it), and who wants a place that feels like home! Ideally, you're a like minded professional of a similar age who's happy to share the occasional meal or a film. I'm not looking to impose anything beyond common sense and would hope we can settle into a dynamic that works for us!

Practical bits to know:
Muswell Hill is a beautiful part of North London with a leafy village feel.
There's independent shops, cute cafes or pubs on your doorstep, green spaces galore, and great transport links into the city and beyond (quick access to the Northern/Victoria/Piccadilly lines, 24hr buses, and national rail services within easy reach).
Bills are not included in the rent and are split evenly between us - council tax is band C (Haringey).
Deposit is the equivalent of a month's rent and you'll need to undergo the regular credit/referencing checks through the landlady's agent.
You would be signing onto a new contract starting 11/10, but the room can be available sooner if needed.
Viewings can typically be arranged on weekday evenings or weekends.
