Description
After 3 very happy years I'm moving on and looking for someone to take over this wonderful room in a really lovely home.
The room itself is a cozy double bedroom with a desk and built-in wardrobe. It has a large window which lets in plenty of natural light throughout the day, however it doesn’t get a lot of direct sunshine and stays cool all year round, which is perfect for this time of year!
There is a large bathroom, shared with only one flatmate which has a fantastic, large shower with both a rain and handheld head for your preference.
The flat itself has large communal spaces and is laid out so that the rooms feel well separated. There's a large kitchen with a separate dining area, dishwasher, washing machine, and plenty of storage and worktop space. There is also a large living room for relaxing in. Another highlight is the large private garden, which is a real sanctuary.
The location of the flat is hard to beat. Muswell Hill Broadway is a short walk away, with its great selection of supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pubs and independent shops. Highgate Underground Station (Northern Line, Zone 3) is also within walking distance, which gets to central London in 20 minutes. And two frequent 24-hour bus routes pass by the house, making travel easy at any time of day or night.
For anyone who enjoys being outdoors, in addition to the garden the flat sits directly opposite Highgate Wood and is also close to Queen's Wood, giving you acres of beautiful woodland, walking trails and green space right on your doorstep.
You'll be sharing with three other flatmates, all friendly working professionals, 2 of which have been here for years and one who has recently moved in. Everyone is considerate, easy-going and respectful, and we all take pride in keeping the house clean, warm and welcoming. It's very much a home rather than a party house, and we're looking for someone who'll enjoy and contribute to that atmosphere.
The room would be ideal for someone in their late 20s to 30s who is looking for a genuine long-term home rather than just a place to stay. We enjoy a friendly chat in the kitchen or garden, while also respecting each other's space and independence.
In addition to the rent, monthly bills (gas/electricity, water, council tax, TV licence and internet) come to approximately £130 per month.
Note: Rent (and deposit) is paid as a house, not individually. The rent is correct at 595 per month for the room as the rent is not divided up equally and based on room size however the deposit is split equally and is therefore £807.50 each. SpareRoom does not let this split be entered in the ad.
