We are looking for a friendly, tidy flatmate to replace us for the rest of the tenancy in this spacious furnished two-bedroom duplex in New Cross. The room is available from 21st February till July 31st with the option to extend further. Rent will be £1212 pcm, not including bills.
The Flat is a modern split-level flat (duplex) that feels more like a house. It is bright, well-laid-out with two bathrooms and a large kitchen/living room with a shared WC. There is also a private outdoor terrace, bike storage, and parking available. The room is a furnished double with access to the terrace, you will also have exclusive use of the large main bathroom and the storage under the stairs.
The property is also pet friendly subject to an additional £50 pcm charge.
The flat is conveniently located between New Cross and New Cross gate stations with great bus, national rail and Overground transport links. Cycleways 10 & 35 are also within a short distance. It’s location makes it easy to enjoy the nearby pubs, cafes and other amenities in the area.
Current Flatmate
You’ll be sharing with Ewan (31M), we’ve been flatmates for over 6 years. He’s a 3D Artist working freelance and part-time at an art gallery, typically working 3 days from home. In his own words he’s easy going & sociable, happy to have a chat in the flat as well as respect your space, especially after a busy day. Outside of work he’s into running & hiking, going to gigs and other events. At home he’s also into games and film & TV.
The flat vibe is sociable but independent—we enjoy a chat or hanging out, but we also respect each other's space and schedules. It’s a relaxed, well-looked-after home.
The Ideal Housemate
This would suit a working professional in their late 20s or early 30s who is sociable but independent. The flat works best for someone who’s happy to be friendly at home while also having their own social life and schedule. Due to the size of room it is probably more suited to an individual than a couple.
We’re looking for someone who’s clean, respectful of shared spaces, and willing to share cleaning and chores. A good communicator who values a relaxed, well-looked-after home.
Occasional or part-time working from home is absolutely fine. However, the flat suits someone who splits their time between home and the office rather than being fully home-based.
Requirements
Must be eligible to rent in the UK (Right to Rent checks apply).
