Description
My room is 1 of 2 rooms that will be available from May as I am leaving and looking for someone to take over my tenancy.
Rent: £835 excluding bills and £120 for bills (council tax, gas/electric, internet, water and fortnightly cleaner). The deposit is £903.66 for a long term let.
Partly furnished (no bed frame, but comes with wardrobe and bedside table ) but there may be some flexibility to move things around or request items from the landlord.
The Room/House: It's a bright and spacious double room. We have a separate spare room which has been used as shared office space in the past and is now an additional storage space. There is a garden and a small front garden, so if you're green-fingered, there is lots of room to plant things.
Accessibility: There is a narrow gate before the front door. The front door is opened with one key. The house has a short step at the front and one step down leading into the garden. The room is on the 1st floor up about 15 steps, and the bathroom and toilet are separate, also on the 1st floor.
Income below £25k are unlikely to pass referencing, unfortunately.
Transport: The house is about 7 mins from Brockley (National Rail and Windrush Line), 15 mins from New Cross/ New Cross Gate. There is a bus stop 2 mins away, buses 171 and 172 to Elephant & Castle and Aldwych (for the West End)
Location: On a pretty quiet, chill street. A lot of nice cafes, a few good places to eat, and there is a pilates studio 10 mins away (if you're into that). Sainsbury's Local is right by the station, and big Sainsbury's is a 15 min walk away. Telegraph Hill and Hilly Fields are also close by.
About you:
- Looking for a clean and considerate person who communicates well and wants to contribute to making the house a home. You are open to a balance of being social (shared dinners, going out together) while also having your own space and downtime.
- 27+, this is a qtipoc/ neurodivergent household and folks with similar identities are preferred
About housemates:
Moni (they/them) works as a producer in theatre and education, in their early thirties, Black and queer.
Message me directly if you feel like it would be a good fit, want to know more and would like a viewing! Myself (Sange) and Moni will be managing messages and viewings.
