Description
PLEASE READ till the end. If you can see the ad, then the room is still available. If you’re REALLY interested and you definitely FIT the household criteria, please introduce yourself. If compatible we will arrange a video call followed by a view.
Short version:
Queer household is looking for someone that identifies as a woman, trans, genderqueer, non-binary to occupy the main bedroom. PLEASE read thoroughly till the end. Messages without the required info about yourself will be ignored.
Long version:
I’m looking for a clean, tidy, and considerate housemate (woman, trans, genderqueer, or non-binary) who respects shared spaces and takes responsibility for their own mess. Ideally, you don’t work from home and don’t have too much stuff, as storage is limited.
A non-smoker with high cleaning standards is a must! I appreciate housemates who clean up after themselves and contribute fairly to the communal upkeep.
About me
I’m an LGBTQ+ artist in the ‘writing up’ year of my PhD. I cherish silence and appreciate housemates who respect my introverted yet friendly nature. My personal space is very important to me. I’m not a party person and do not allow drinking or smoking in the house under any circumstances.
About the room
Double room available
Furnished (desk, double bed, small wardrobe, shelves)
£750 All included
Deposit: 400
More information
You will be sharing only with me.
Our household is free from drugs and alcohol. The occasional wine / beer and/or cooking with alcohol is ok. I want my home to feel safe.
We will sign a written agreement.
References needed.
There’s a garden but NO LIVING ROOM.
Location
Zone 2/3 — just a 10-minute walk to Stratford High Street DLR and 15 minutes to Stratford station (Tube, Overground, DLR).
There’s 24-hour access to Central London and three nearby cycle paths. The area is a friendly, residential neighbourhood located 5 minutes from the canal. The Olympic Park is just around the corner — only 5 minutes by bike. You’ll find both mainstream and independent shops a block away, plus a wholefood store in Stratford Shopping Centre. Buses to Central London stop right at the end of the road. The location is superb.
Access:
Not wheelchair friendly as it has steps (at the entrance, between the two corridors and to the garden - a big step). There is no phone entry system nor other visual/hearing impairment adaptations.
If interested please share about yourself, why you consider we would get along well and include your contact number if possible. I will get back to you to arrange a video chat and find out if we're compatible before the viewing.
