Spacious double room for rent

Short let double room available in a modern house in Newington Green, professionals prefered. Ideal for hybrid working. I have had long term lodgers for a few years as well as academics and post-graduate students on research trips. I'm friendly, sociable and love to chat but I also like my privacy. I love the unusual layout of my house. I sleep and work on the top floor, the room available for rent is on the ground floor and the shared living space is on the first floor, in between. It works really well for lodgers. The shower room is on this floor and is shared, but as there is another bathroom on the top floor, when the spare room is occupied I don’t need to use it.

The house is a light-filled contemporary house with double-height living space on a tree-lined street in a lovely part of Islington. Its near to the huge variety of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of Angel, Dalston and Highbury with the Newington Green’s noted food shops and places to eat right on the doorstep. The room is on the ground floor, it has ample dedicated desk and storage space and a small sofa. It shares a private toilet with one other single room which is mostly unoccupied.

Very convenient transport links to central London and transport hubs by bus, tube and London Overground. This is a wonderful area, peaceful and green but still very close to the centre of the city. I am a native Londoner with a comprehensive knowledge of the city.

I am an artist and I live here with my 10 year old very friendly and calm dog. Occasionally one of my adult children might be staying.
