Description
TL; DR
Spacious house, single room with shared space (lounge available to work and hang out), GARDEN, and a nice flatmate.
Looking for someone to make his/her own home.
------------
Hi there,
My name is Juancho, and I'm looking for a flatmate.
HOUSE / ROOM:
The house is spacious and well-equipped, on the ground floor in lovely Newington Green. Very well connected (Dalston Kingsland / Junction overground and loads of bus routes too).
Located in a nice area, there's lots of places around to do your groceries and plenty of restaurants/pubs at walking distance. Also the canal is 20 min away!
The room has the basic furniture included: double bed, a big mirrored wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There's space for a small desk as you can see in the pictures. You can also use the lounge as office/studio space, especially if you have to work from home since it’s the norm these days.
On top of that the house has pretty big shared spaces:
- Big lounge with TV (the main one). There's space to put a table in case you wanna work next to the garden too (or even in the garden if you have a laptop, there's a chair and a table).
- Big kitchen, plenty of space to cook and even to put a table to make dinner with friends.
- And a big garden ready for summer (looking for getting a BBQ soon) and a lockdown saviour with big trees on it. It's the best part of the house if you ask me. If you sat in it, it feels like you're not in a big city because there's tons of birds and squirrels running around (2 to be specific) since there's quite a wild community garden on the other side of the fence.
HOUSEMATES (a. k. a. me & my plants):
I'm a 31 year-old Spaniard freelancer working in the entertainment industry as a Digital Artist, and I've been in London since 2018.
I'm a tidy and easy-going person who likes to keep the place clean and organized. I enjoy watching films and talking about them after, cooking for friends, playing video games, reading in the garden, listening to lots of music and so on. I used to be really into climbing/bouldering since I moved to London but since lockdown I've being quite "relaxed" tbh... maybe too much. I also enjoy pub-nights, wine and cheese of course!
I mostly work from a studio (near the house) but when I don't have work I like to spend time at home chillin'. Before, during lockdown, I used the lounge as an office/studio so I can say there's plenty of space in it to avoid working in your bedroom if you prefer (if you've been freelance you know what I mean ;) ).
YOU:
I'm looking for someone chilled and friendly, who would like to take care of the house and make it their home.
When I moved into the house with my current flatmate, it was completely empty (besides storage space and a fridge) so there's still plenty of space for improvement, getting new stuff, decorating it a bit more and moving things around if you like.
At the end of the day it's not a massive house so I think it's important to respect each other's privacy and be communicative when needed. But also be willing to join in for a drink, share some takeaway food and some laughs of course!
If you think you would be a good fit, drop me a message with a bit about you and let's make sure we get a beer after you've seen the place.
