Double room in a cosy Newington Green maisonette

Hi! We are looking for a new flatmate to take a room in our lovely 3 bed Newington Green house. It's a quiet, cosy double with a big window and good storage. As it's on the smaller size, we would prefer our new flatmate to work fully in-office and not from home.

The house is beautifully finished, with lots of plants and natural light (so many skylights!), a wall of cookbooks, laundry room, 2 bathrooms (one with bath/shower), a kitchen/living room and a south-facing back decking where we love to hang out in the warmer months.

It's a brilliant location, close to lots of coffee shops, pubs, parks (Clissold, Hackney Downs and Highbury Fields within 15-20 mins walk) and great places to eat. Plus, it's got numerous buses just a 3 min walk away going into central (141, 73, 341) and Canonbury, Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction Overground stations are nearby, linking you to the Victoria and Elizabeth lines among others. No students or couples sorry.

As for the house, you will be joining two lovely women. Sylvia is 31, Canadian but grew up in Europe and is an urban planner specialising in air pollution, while Amy is 29, Scottish and works at an architect firm while being a freelance illustrator on the side.

We love yoga, travel, food, climbing, going to gigs, music and art - and are keen to find someone who shares these interests. The house is cosy, quiet and incredibly homely.

We like the house to be tidy and are looking for someone who is considerate of this. We're also looking for someone sociable and up for doing the usual housemate things!

£871 + bills (currently come to £100-£150 each).

We'll be doing viewings over the next week, starting Thurs 17th Oct.

You'll need to be able to rent in the UK, have references and the usual pieces. We communicate directly with our landlord, who is friendly and great with fixing things.

You will be taking on a 12 month contract, starting from November 3rd and will need to pay the deposit and a months rent up front.
