Spacious en-suite room in a lovely house

We are a warm, easy-going and inclusive family looking for a like-minded housemate to join our spacious and relaxed home. We both work in the education sector and have two children (8 and 13). Our children are used to living with a housemate and very respectful and mindful. During the week we tend to be busy and enjoy a calm, peaceful home environment, but at weekends we like to socialise, cook together and have BBQs in the garden. We are friendly, respectful and easy to live with, and we really value creating a welcoming space for everyone.

Our home is in a very safe and quiet neighbourhood in SW16, just a 10
minute walk from Norbury train station and a 1-minute walk to the nearest bus stop (250). We are also within walking distance of two Lidls, a large Sainsbury’s and a Tesco superstore, making food shopping very convenient. There are beautiful green spaces nearby, including Biggin Wood, Streatham Common, The Rookery and Norbury Park — perfect for walks, fresh air and outdoor time.

The room is on the first floor and has recently been refurbished to a high standard. It is bright, airy and spacious, with a private en-suite wet room. The room includes a large chest of drawers and a lovely wooden desk, offering comfort, privacy and a peaceful space to unwind.

The house is kept clean and well-maintained, and a cleaner attends weekly to look after the communal areas — this is included in the rent. We also have a large back garden with plenty of space to relax, read, enjoy meals outside or have a BBQ in the warmer months.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, considerate and enjoys living in a peaceful and respectful home. Our home is inclusive, welcoming and safe — we want anyone who joins us to feel comfortable and happy here.
