Cosy, colourful flat near Portobello Road

Hi!

I am looking for a friendly flatmate to share my flat with. The flat is a sensibly laid out, spacious duplex on the third floor of a 70s block (please note, no lift!), near the lovely Portobello Market area. Although listed as unfurnished this only applies to the room that would be yours - the flat is otherwise furnished and equipped. The flat belongs to my friend Mel, who I shared with for a number of years before she got married and ran off to the countryside - I left too initially but have now returned after 2 years away.

The room is a good sized double with one built in cupboard for storage. My current flatmate is willing to discuss selling her existing furniture as she is moving abroad.

There is a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, see pics for details. The bathroom is about to be renovated in June so will be shiny and new! It is council tax band C. There's no broadband currently (I hotspot from my phone) but no issues if you want to install your own. The flat has gas central heating. All bills in total have historically come to about £150-200 a month. If you're in agreement I would like to get a cleaner going forward which I estimate at £30/month.

I am a sociable professional, I work from home 3 days a week (this will mostly be from my room) and am in the office the other 2 days. I'm usually out a few evenings a week dancing Argentine tango (I'm not especially good, but i love it!), or drinks/dinner/ theatre/cinema etc etc. As it is a 2 bed flat I am looking for someone who I feel is a good "fit" with me (and potentially Mel, as she'll be around sometimes) rather than just anyone available to take the room, and would prefer someone who is in a similar place in life, same sort of age, lifestyle etc. I'm not fussed on gender as long as you're respectful of the space and furnishings and easy to get on with.
