I am in the process of selling my lovely, bright one bedroom flat and am looking to rent it on a short-term basis until the sale goes through. It is located 5 mins from Norwood Junction station, on the corner of two very quiet streets (one of them a cul-de-sac so no traffic). The place comes beautifully furnished by the current tenant who is moving out but leaving her things there until completion, so there is nothing to buy.
THE FLAT: Own front door leading directly to a staircase taking you up one flight to the flat. The flat comprises: one large double bedroom with two built-in cupboards for storage, a bathroom with shower (recently redone) and separate tub, a kitchen with all kitchenware included and a large, light-filled reception room with a fireplace that heats the whole place up very quickly. It is also centrally heated. There is a no access to the loft.
TRAVEL: Five mins walk to Norwood Junction, which is on London Overground/Thameslink/Southern. For commuters it's ideal: non-stop to London Bridge in 11 mins/Blackfriars 18 mins, Victoria 25. Trains run late and are very reliable.
AREA: New Craft Ale cabin/ arts cafe just opened and a Mama Dough at the end of the road for great pizzas, along with excellent coffee by the station. It's a short bus ride or 3 mins on train to gorgeous Crystal Palace triangle with its historic park, shops, restaurants and buzzing bar scene & newly restored Picturehouse Cinema. There is a huge ALDI 5 mins' walk away and two newsagents on the same road, open late. Farmers' market every second Saturday of the month also just by clock tower, 7 mins' walk. This area really does have everything you need.
