I'm looking for a new flatmate to take over the second bedroom in this lovely 2-bedroom flat from 15th of Feb, as my current flatmate is moving out of London. Here's everything you need to know:
The Room
🛏️ A spacious double bedroom with a comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space, and an amazing view.
The Flat
🏢 Located on the 7th floor (lift access available—though it’s a bit old and slow).
📍 Only a 10-minute walk to Old Street Station and 20 minutes to Hoxton Station.
🛒 Nearby stores include Tesco, Aldi, Co-op, Sainsbury's, Superdrug, and Argos.
🍴 Surrounded by fantastic bars and restaurants for social evenings.
Rent & Bills
💷 Rent: £975 per month (excluding bills).
💡 Bills: Approximately £100–£150 per person per month.
💼 You’ll sign the tenancy contract directly with the agency (Foxtons) to replace my flatmate till the 15th of August. The entire contract of the flat will be renewed on 15th of August. Minimum for 1 year but if you can do 2 or 3 years that'd be great. (Moving is a headache).
Reference Check Requirements
Please be prepared for the agency's reference process, which includes:
Address history for the past 3 years.
- 3 months of recent bank statements (6 months if self employed, plus a tax return).
- Proof of address (bank, credit card, or mobile phone statement).
- 3 months of recent payslips.
- Photographic ID (passport or driving license).
- Residence permit/visa and Home Office share code (if applicable).
- Contact details for your employer (for email verification).
- Contact details for your previous landlord (for email verification).
- Emergency contact information (next of kin).
Don’t worry—while it sounds like a lot, it should only take about a week to complete the whole process!
