Double Bedroom in beautiful house by Oval tube

We have 1 double room for single occupancy available from 1st March 2022 for £850pcm ALL INCLUSIVE (no extra bills on top). It's a cosy smallish room but compensated by having wardrobe storage outside the room and also by being garden facing.

The rent includes all bills, super fast fibre optic internet, and a cleaner for communal areas every other week. There is sheltered and secure parking for bicycles out the front, and a lovely mature garden with fruit trees and a wood burning pizza oven!

The house is beautifully decorated and fully furnished in Oval, central London (border of zone 1&2). We are just 400 metres (4 min walk) from Oval tube station (northern line), 10 min walk to Vauxhall Station (Victoria line), 5 mins on bus / bike to vibrant Brixton, and right by Kennington Park. The location is also amazingly quiet, being set back in a leafy cul de sac.

The house is divided over 3 floors, and the room available for rent is on the top floor. There is also a beautiful bathroom with roll top bath on the top floor (and a modern shower on the ground floor). The room also has a desk space.

There is communal space in the spacious kitchen (and garden for the summer), where there is a large table comfortably able to seat 8 for the odd dinner party if you like entertaining, or for housemates dinners and cooking together whenever that happens. My husband and I travel and are away for work a lot of the year. When we are home, the lounge is often needed as a working space for us, and also hang out zone for our baby (we have a baby girl!). We are planning to be away from Feb for 5/6 months this year. But even when we are home, things can be arranged like movie nights etc. no problem. We are very friendly and super easy going :) Naturally most of the socialising happens in the kitchen anyway, especially if you have a lovely homely one like ours. The kitchen opens onto the garden which is fab in the summer. There is a dishwasher, a rangemaster gas cooker and plenty of fridge space. Washing machine and dryer in separate laundry room.

Though its a double room, we want to rent to just one person, not a couple. You would share the top floor and top bathroom with Ben who is a music therapist, and always very good vibes. My husband and I own the house and we live in the 3rd bedroom (middle floor), though as I said we travel a lot for work and sometimes are away up to 5 months at a time. We are a very friendly sociable couple, both work full time in the music industry, though I’m currently taking time out to be with our baby. When we are away we do mid term lets of our room- always and only to lovely people :) it's always a great vibe in the house.

Looking for a considerate, clean and tidy preferably non smoker who will cooperate with things like recycling etc.. The month paid in advance and a deposit of £200.
