It's a great area to explore London from with easy access to Central London, Waterloo, Brixton, Clapham, Camberwell, Peckham.
Closest tube is the Northern Line (Clapham, Kings Cross, Leicester Square, London Bridge, Old Street, Angel).
Also easy to get on Victoria Line from Stockwell or Vauxhall, both a 15 minute walk.
From Vauxhall you can easily get trains to places in Surrey like Richmond and Kingston.

Central London is a 20 minute tube journey / 20 minute cycle / 1 hour walk.
