Description

We have a room available for a TEMPORARY SUBLET in our friendly and relaxed flatshare from the 26th of JUNE to the 20th of JULY while I'm away.

The room has a big south-facing window and a high ceiling, so it feels bigger than it is and gets lots of bright natural sunlight in the morning and early afternoon. It stays cool in the summer and has a lovely view of the old church across the street. The room has a double bed and mattress, and it just got a new coat of paint so it looks amazing and bright.

The rest of the flat:

We have a large, bright living room with big windows, two couches and some bookshelves. There's a lot less clutter in there now than in that photo/video.

We also have a large kitchen with a 4-person table and chairs and lots of counter space as well as a gas hob/fan oven/washer/dryer/dishwasher.

There’s a cute balcony off the kitchen that can be used to sit outside in nice weather.

We have a toilet room that is separate from the bathroom (which contains our shower/tub/sink) so you never have to wait to use the loo!

The neighbourhood:

The flat is an 8-minute walk from Oval tube station or 13 minutes to Stockwell in the other direction. It’s on a number of cycle routes into Central London (13 min to Westminster Sq/Parliament by bike), Brixton (6 min by bike or 20 min walk) and Clapham (40 min walk).

It's a perfect spot to look for long-term accommodation as we've got such great tube/bus links on our doorstep.

There are a number of parks nearby (Kennington Park and Eythorne Park are just around the corner, Vauxhall and Burgess Park are a 10-15min walk) and we have 3 supermarkets within a 10 minute walk. There’s a big convenience store, post office, pharmacy and fruit/veg shop downstairs on our block, too, as well as the Oval farmer's market on Saturdays. The area is bursting with pretty old streets and historic spots to explore on foot or by bike. (Van Gogh's house is a 5-minute walk away.)

The current flatmates:

Maddy is an Australian film buff who works in an independent stationery shop. She's been in London for 6 years after living in Sweden (among other cool places) and has an eye for vintage fashion and beautiful homewares. She's a big fan of Bob Dylan and Christine and the Queens.

Karoline is a consultant from Germany who studied linguistics and has just moved to London. She's lived in Oxford, India and the US and she's into baking, cycling and traveling--and is impressively good at languages.

The rent/bills/etc.:

The rent for this room is £850 for the full 25 days, including all bills.

We're looking for:

A respectful, trustworthy person who’s good at communicating and needs a temporary place to stay in London.

A friendly housemate who's up for a meal together but also likes to do their own thing.

Viewings:

We're doing online and in-person viewings this week so please let us know your availability during the day from Tuesday to Friday, or on Thursday evening.
