Double room in a friendly flat share in Oval

Hello! We’re Freya (24) and Skye (26), and we’re looking for one more lovely person to join our 3 bed flat in Oval in late January.

*A bit about the place/room*
The room up for grabs is a small furnished double with lots of storage. The rest of the flat is spacious with high ceilings, a huge living room and great for hanging out. The kitchen is also nicely sized and separate to the living area - there's a dining table in the kitchen (we have two spare chairs so 6 total) and also a balcony which tends to get used for dinner/drinks/reading when the sun's out! The bathroom is split with a toilet in one and sink and bath shower next to it.

The property itself has 5 other flats who we share a communal patio garden with, and the neighbours include a mix of families/owners/young flatshares. There’s space to lock up bikes by the bins round the side of the building (Skye cycles to work and keeps hers here).

The flat is located about 7 mins from Oval station (it's about a 15 min walk to Stockwell for the Victoria line). The area feels safe to walk around at night, and has some good local independent things as well as two Tescos really close by. Great proximity to Vauxhall/Brixton/South Bank/Camberwell/Clapham. Kennington Park is round the corner and there’s a gym 5 mins away.

Rent is 750, and then council tax is around 50 and bills maybe 30ish. The tenancy will start on 20th January and run to 20th September.

*A bit about us*
We met on SpareRoom in the summer and moved in with another flatmate who is now moving back home. We both have our own social lives and aren’t always in but enjoy catching up when we are, sharing dinner or chilling out.

We’re both really looking to make a friend, not just someone to fill the room. Someone who'd be up for cooking and sharing dinner from time to time, heading out to grab a coffee/cocktail/pint, but who also values their own space and is respectful of the flat being a space to unwind.

Skye:
I'm 26, lived in south London for a few years now and I work in PR, wfh Mondays and Fridays at the moment. I love cooking and have a strong recipe book collection, pasta machine and generally too much kitchen stuff so we’re rarely lacking for a niche bit of equipment! I don’t eat much meat but not strictly veggie (also pretty good with cooking vegan dishes). At the weekend I’m most likely to be found at a gallery or food market, and also enjoy running, theatre, and trying to keep the houseplants alive (results may vary).

Freya:
I’m Freya and I work in public health, mainly WFH but trying to go to the office a bit more when I can find the morning motivation to! I’m from London but have enjoyed getting to know a new area and lots more to still explore. Skye is definitely the better chef of the two of us, but I enjoy cooking when I make the time. I am pescetarian but mostly veggie, with the exception of a v good sushi takeaway nearby. I’m an avid reader with a mild book buying obsession so always plenty to borrow, and enjoy running and going to the gym.

As for the other bits, we’re definitely past the point where we can be bothered to live in a flat that's not clean and well looked after, so are also looking for people who are keen to do their bit and keep it a space where we can feel calm and relaxed.

While we’re not set on our third flatmate being veggie, someone who likes to prepare a lot of meat probably won't work so well.
