About the place

This is a beautiful, secluded garden flat in a charming Georgian townhouse, recently refurbished, soundproofed, and peaceful.

There are two double bedrooms, one shared bathroom, and an open-plan new kitchen / living space opening directly onto a large patio and huge private garden (rare for the area). There’s also a study separating the bedrooms, plus a communal front garden.

The extension has underfloor heating, so it’s cosy in winter and cool in summer. The garden includes a summerhouse which works brilliantly as spillover storage but could become a second living room/den.

I also have a robot vacuum/mop that does its best, we could name it together.

The room

A bright, generous double (approx. 3.5 x 3.8m), furnished with:
New bed and mattress
Large and small wardrobes (loads of storage)
The bathroom is shared between the two of us and has never been an issue, even with a past flatmates who took very long (1 hr+) showers.

Location

5 mins walk to Kennington Park and PureGym Oval
8 mins to Oval tube and the farmers’ market
12 mins to Stockwell
15 mins to Vauxhall

Great local pub one road away (and, yes, a sex shop if that’s your bag)

About me

I’m friendly, kind, respectful and clean (always a good start, right?). I’m a professional and currently work from home around 3 days a week.

I’m pretty gregarious but also very independent, and I value a calm, warm home. I’m liberal, positive, environmentally conscious, and into gardening, cooking, singing, dancing, dressing up, TV, board games, the gym, and Dungeons & Dragons. Yes I’m a geek.

I enjoy having friends over once or twice a month, but this is not a party flat. Home is mainly a place to unwind and feel at ease.

About you

Clean, communicative, emotionally literate all non-negotiable. Full-time professionals preferred; WFH a few days a week is totally fine.

Ideally 30+, LGBT+ preferred, and someone grown-up who treats shared space with care. Geeks and gardeners very much to the front of the queue.

I am looking for someone I’ll genuinely get on with as home should feel easy and open for us both.
