As I'm moving into a new place, my double room in a lovely four-bedroom, two-bathroom house—located between Oval Station and Camberwell Town Centre—will be available in early May.
The house is part of a quiet, gated community and features a garage, a spacious living room, a bright conservatory, and a good-sized patio—perfect for the summer months ahead.
The available room comes fully furnished with a double bed, a large double wardrobe, and a bedside table. There’s also a long-standing house agreement that the conservatory can be used as a work-from-home space by the occupant of this room (as there’s no space for a desk in the bedroom itself). A desk is already set up and available if needed.
You’ll share the first-floor bathroom with one other male housemate—this bathroom includes a bath/shower, sink, and WC. There’s also a separate WC on the ground floor.
You'll be living with three friendly and social housemates who balance their busy lives with relaxed evenings in the lounge, often watching shows like Married at First Sight and Love Island during the week. Everyone works professional 9–5 jobs; the two female housemates have lived here for over two years, and the other male housemate will be moving in at the end of April.
Transport links are excellent: it’s a 10-minute walk to Oval Station (Northern line) or just 2 minutes to a bus stop with regular services to Victoria, Vauxhall, and Battersea in one direction, and Peckham, New Cross, and East Dulwich in the other.
Local amenities include a Co-op just 4 minutes away, with larger supermarkets such as a Tesco Superstore in Oval (15 minutes) and Morrisons, Lidl, and Holland & Barrett in Camberwell (10 minutes).
The room is available from around the 10th of May, though this could be slightly earlier depending on the move-in date for my new flat. The tenancy renews on the 11th of November 2025.
