Description
THE HOUSE
Cosy Edwardian family home in Palmers Green, situated on a leafy secluded road. The house is full of character, with an old-fashioned tiled entrance and stained glass windows. 2 mins walk from Palmers Green train station, 15 minutes walk/a short bus ride from Arnos Grove, Wood Green, and Southgate stations. At the end of the road is the high street, with plenty of cafes and restaurants as well as a few supermarkets, banks, post offices etc. Minutes away from the charming Broomfield Park and its little lakes.
Plenty of storage in the basement for bikes, if you ride. We have a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, as well as 2 fridges (one in the basement) and a lovely garden for all to use.
Currently occupied by myself (Catherine, 64) and my son Stephen (24). My husband David lives in Dublin and sometimes visits at the weekend or for a few days at a time. I am looking for one new lodgers to move in on or slightly after October 1. I can't accept couples at the moment.
THE ROOMS
Both rooms are situated at the back of the house, overlooking the medium-sized garden and its wildlife, and are extremely quiet. Each has an oak double bed with new comfy Tempur mattress and pull-out bedside tables, as well as extra storage. 2 large John Lewis built-in wardrobes and reading lamps included. Next to one of 2 shared bathrooms, housing large bath. See photos for reference. Rent includes all bills as well as a weekly cleaner and a gardener.
ME
I'm Catherine, 64, and I work as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in an NHS clinic in Essex. I speak many languages, including English, French, Mandarin and Norwegian. I moved from Dublin to London four years ago, into this wonderful 4-bed house which I have been sharing with two lodgers. One of whom has vacated the larger double room. I am looking for one new person.
YOU
I am looking for a clean and quiet lodger. I am looking for someone to call this place 'Home', who enjoys cooking, a glass of wine in the evening, and a good chat. No party animals please, my home is quite peaceful!. Weekly cleaner and a gardener included.
If this sounds good to you, please message! Cats welcome.
