Huge, bright room available in Palmers Green

We’re renting out the large double bedroom on the first floor of our lovely Edwardian home in Palmers Green. It has a high ceiling, big windows which give lots of natural light and is spacious enough to fit a double bed, wardrobe, desk, sofa and TV. We already have some furnishings in there, if you need it fully furnished we can get some more, or if you have your own and want to bring them you can do.

The property itself goes over two floors, and you’ll have access to all of the communal areas, including a spacious living/dining room, which is ideal for hosting, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a beautiful big garden with a barbecue. We also have super-fast wi-fi (1000 Mbps) and a huge Smart TV with access to all of the streaming platforms!

Your housemates are Luke and Francesca, a friendly, easy-going couple in our mid thirties. We both have day jobs in the city and work hybrid (half office, half WFH). Luke works in IT / tech and enjoys live music, classic film, board games and travel. Fran works in publishing and enjoys reading, football, Italian food and reality TV.

We’re looking for a housemate who is friendly, considerate and tidy. Ideally another like-minded professional working in the city or a mature student. While we’re sociable, and would love to bond over some home-cooked food and a movie, we’re also very respectful of people’s space.

The room is £1100pcm, and bills come to £200pcm so £1300 altogether (including heating, electricity, water, internet, council tax, TV, etc...). We’re looking for a 2 month minimum stay, but other than that we can be flexible. And if you need to leave we just need 2 weeks notice.

If you’ve never been before, Palmers Green has a lovely community vibe to it, and is particularly well-known for its selection of delicious Greek and Turkish cafes and restaurants. There’s a big, leafy park down the road (Broomfield Park), gyms, pubs, and a Morrisons superstore just 2 minutes walk away. We’re right next to Palmers Green station, where you can get to Finsbury Park or Moorgate in 15 minutes by train. Alternatively, there are plenty of bus connections, which can take you to Wood Green or Arnos Grove, both of which are on the Piccadilly line.
