Hey there,
Sadly one of our flatmates is leaving, and we have a double room available in our flat share from the 1st September. This is a 3 story house with 4 bedrooms in Peckham.
The room comes furnished and has a lot of storage space (wardrobe, drawers, bedside table). The bathroom is only shared with one person (that will be me) as other flatmates have their own. The living room got a TV and a desk available if you need to WFH, and the kitchen/dining room got all appliances you need (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas stoves, oven, 2 fridges). We also have a big garden and enjoy throwing the occasional BBQ party.
The room is at 710£ and the bills come at 75£ p/m inc. broadband, gas/electricity and council tax (tax band D). Edit: I forgot to add water but it's a few dozen quids every 6 months or less. Just to note: we did recently see an increase of gas/electricity and we might expect another one this winter...
On the bright side - we are very lucky location wise, we live on a quiet street but with a short walk you will be right in the animated areas of Peckham. We have plenty of buses passing by 5 mins from our street, and are equal walking distance to Peckham Rye and Queens Road Peckham Overground stations. We have a lot of supermarkets (Morrisons, Lidl, Sainsbury's) and small shops around.
We are fairly social and enjoy sharing the occasional drinks together, but it's not a party house - we like our quiet space as we are quite busy with work.
You will be living with 4 people (2 individuals and 1 couple) from the UK, Ireland and France. We work in arts, design, production, research, warehouse/studying engineering. We are really keen to keep a good balance in the house - so far it's a mix between POC/non-POC and it's a queer/straight house. If living in a mixed share is suitable for you, we'd consider a POC person in priority, and preference for a guy for gender balance. Age ranges from 25-30, ideally we'd like someone at least 25+. However these are all just preferences, we care more about having a good fit overall.
