A peaceful older gentleman in Peckham is looking to share his home through a Homeshare arrangement. He is a retired musician who enjoys board games and good conversation, and would welcome the company of someone kind, caring, and tidy.

In exchange for a comfortable room with its own private bathroom and the chance to live in a warm, welcoming environment, you’ll provide around 10 hours a week of support. This includes light cooking, a bit of tidying and cleaning (as you would in your own home), taking the bins in and out, and simply being a friendly presence in the evenings and overnight. No personal care is required, just a reassuring presence and companionship.

The householder does his best to remain independent, though a recent health condition means he is now slightly more limited. A professional carer already assists with personal care, so your support will mainly be about company and help with day-to-day household tasks.

Ideally, the householder would like someone who works from home or part-time, rather than being out of the house first thing in morning until late evening, so that there is more of a balance of company and presence in the home.

The property is well located, less than ten minutes’ walk from Peckham Rye and Queens Road Peckham stations, and only a few minutes from the high street and supermarkets. The monthly contribution is £240, with a one-off DBS check fee of £45 and a refundable deposit of £240. A minimum six-month commitment is required, and applicants must be aged 21 or over with references available.
