Description
hello!
sadly, our housemate is moving out, so we’re looking for a new housemate to move in and take her room.
about the house and room:
* the house is a terraced house with two floors on a row of victorian terraces.
* there is a living room, laundry room, kitchen/diner, basement, a bathroom, an additional toilet/sink room, and a garden to the rear of the property.
* there are 3 bedrooms in total. the biggest bedroom at the front is the one available. it faces onto the street, which is residential.
* all of the bedrooms are on the first floor so wouldn’t be suitable for someone that cannot climb stairs.
* the house came unfurnished when we moved in, and we all bought furniture together, so you would need to send our departing housemate £39 when moving in to cover her share plus the deposit of £1135.
* our current housemate is looking to sell her bed to the future tenant but the room is otherwise unfurnished
* the room is £1130 excluding bills. we all pay slightly different amounts based on the size of our rooms. this room is the biggest by far and has enough room for a bed, a desk and probably any other furniture you want in there. bills are around £130 each month and we each are in charge of paying different bills.
* we don’t have any pets and unfortunately wouldn’t be able to welcome any due to allergies.
location:
* the house is located on nigel road - a 6-minute walk from peckham rye station, which has regular overground, thameslink, southern and southeastern services.
* the nearest bus stops have a load of different services too and are around a 3-minute walk from the house.
* there are lots of pubs, shops + cafes nearby on rye lane, bellenden road and lordship lane.
* the nearest supermarkets are lidl and morrisons - both around a 15 minute walk.
about us:
* you’d be living with myself (James) and Lizzy. I’m 25 and work full-time as an urban planner, and Lizzy is 27 and works full-time at a fashion college.
* we both work hybrid - around half in the office and half from home.
* we are both LGBT so are looking for either an LGBT or LGBT-friendly housemate.
* we like to keep the house clean and tidy and rotate cleaning different parts of the communal areas each month.
* we like to hang out from time to time but also respect that we have our own lives too :)
about you:
* we’re ideally looking for someone between the ages of 24 and 33, LGBT or LGBT-friendly and clean + tidy.
* no full-time students due to council tax reasons, sorry!
* in your message to us, please tell us a bit about yourself! what you do, what your hobbies/interests are, and also how often you work from home too :)
we are hosting viewings thursday 17th from 6:30pm, friday 18th from 6:30pm, and sunday 20th of september from 4:30pm. let us know in your message which works for you!
we look forward to hearing from you!
