Description
We are looking to rent our 4-bedroom maisonette tucked on the quiet side of Bellenden road between East Dulwich and Peckham Rye.
It is a furnished house and four friends are welcome.
We have lived here for a number of years and are now relocating to Brighton, so can honestly say the area is a very special place to live. It’s a fantastic location, close to everything but in a quiet environment with a great neighbourhood, truly the best of both worlds.
This neighbourhood (Bellenden Village) has become very popular in the last few years, new bars, restaurants, and cafes are abundant in both Peckham & East Dulwich. There is a vibrant arts scene in the area and rooftop cinemas (Bussey Building) and a gallery/Bar on a top of a carpark (Franks Café) also various events happening locally. Lordship Lane is about 5 minutes away….
Within walking distance you will find:
Local food shops (General Store), Chemist, Banks, Cinemas, Library, Galleries, Bakeries (Brickhouse, voted best Sough dough in London), Local parks (Peckham Rye and Dulwich Park), supermarkets (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons etc…) and plenty of bars and restaurants with cuisine from around the world.
Popular and recommended eateries nearby include:
Ganapati (Indian), Begging Bowl (Thai) and Artusi (Italian) those are literally in the street 5 minutes away! Miss Tapas (Spanish and one of our favourites) and a The Gowlett (proper South East London boozer and best pizza place around).
Getting around: By train (Zone 2)
-Overground (10 minutes walk from Peckham Rye and 5 minutes from East Dulwich stations). Equally at 15 minutes to Victoria and 12 minutes to London Bridge.
-Thameslink to the City (Farringdon 20 minutes, Kings Cross 25 minutes)
-Overground to Shoreditch in 22 minutes or Clapham Junction in 25 minutes).
If you have your own car there is free parking on the street. In addition, if you are a bike lover there you can find on the street a safe bike hangar which provides undercover on-street parking.
The house is very spacious.
There are 2 big bedrooms and 2 medium size rooms. I haven't been able to provide pictures of all the bedrooms as we are still living here with 2 kids and it wouldn't be representative. The best for you is to come and see by yourself. There is a possibility of having a private bathroom as there is a big bedroom and a bathroom on the top floor. All the bedrooms will have a new double bed, a built in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a bedside table.
You’ll find a fully stocked kitchen with appliances (kettle, toaster, crockery, cups/mugs, etc) and whitegoods (washing machine, large fridge freezer, built in oven and gas hob). You can basically move in without having anything to buy.
The bills are not included. However it should be around £45/£50 per month per head for four people. The price is including the water, electricity and gas, internet and council tax. I will pay for the cleaner.
The official moving in date is on the 1st December but we should be out before w/c 20th November.
Please get in touch if you need further information.
Thanks Marie
