Description
Hello!
Sadly my flatmate has recently moved back abroad, so I'm looking for someone to fill her room in our 2-bed flat in Pimlico. It's a fantastic flat in a great location in central London and I've loved living here for the past three years (hence not wanting to leave!). Looking for the right person rather than to very quickly fill the room, so move in date is flexible.
Details:
- 2 bed flat in Pimlico on the fifth floor of a quiet block, very close to the river;
- Decent size bedroom available, with double bed and desk provided, and an in-built wardrobe;
- Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, large fridge freezer, gas hobs, washing machine, etc;
- Separate bathroom (shower + bath) and loo;
- Living room with a balcony (with views of battersea power station);
- Fantastic location - nestled between Westminster & Chelsea, so you can easily walk/cycle to Westminster, Victoria, Belgravia, Chelsea, South Ken, Battersea, etc, and there are lots of great parks, cafes, and restaurants nearby. Especially handy for civil servants/anyone working in the whitehall area!
- and finally, great transport links - Pimlico station (Victoria line) a 10 min walk, and Sloane Square (circle/district) a 15 min walk. There's also a couple of bus stops right outside and living centrally means it's never very expensive to get an uber home!
Technical details:
- Rent is £995 pcm - this includes heating and hot water bills;
- Remaining bills are around £75pcm each;
- Portico are the estate agents. I imagine they’ll want to do some sort of reference. The deposit is 5 weeks of rent. Landlord is responsive but also very relaxed;
- Looking for someone who’d ideally intend to stay at least a year, but the contract does have a break clause and is therefore fairly flexible;
- I'm flexible with the move in date, but ideally looking to find someone who can move in by the end of Feb.
About me:
I’m a 25 year old civil servant working in policy at the Treasury. Work-wise, I spend my time split fairly evenly between the office and home, but flex this depending on how busy/quiet work is. When I’m not working, I’m often out, whether that's at the pub, suffering in French classes, or (very occasionally) pretending to enjoy a run along the river. I also enjoy spending downtime in the flat; cooking, watching films/TV shows, reading on the balcony with a glass of wine, etc. I'm clean and tidy but not obsessively so. Most importantly, I'm always up for a drink and chat in the evenings, but equally value and respect personal space. Looking for someone fairly similar who's keen to build and maintain a nice friendly and supportive home (ability to nurse my houseplants back to life also a plus)!
