Description
Hello!
This is a comfortable 2-bedroom flat in a Victorian mansion block just two minutes walk from Pimlico tube station.
I am a current occupant; my flatmate unfortunately is moving out in October so we’re looking for someone to replace her on the contract (valid until June ‘25 with the option to renew).
Rent: £1202.50 a month equivalent*
Deposit: £1387.50 (Spareroom won’t let me add this to the ad details for some reason)
Bills (water, energy, council tax & broadband): about £120 each per month
*Please be aware that our contract stipulates that rent is to be paid in 6-month increments: £7215 per person due in Oct for Jan-Jun period.
THE FLAT
We live in a cute top-floor Victorian flat with two bedrooms, a comfortable sitting room, a new kitchen, and a new shared bathroom. There’s also a large shared storage cupboard.
THE ROOM
This room has a queen-sized bed and lots of storage with built-in shelves and a wardrobe; otherwise it’s a canvas for you to decorate as you like!
THE LOCATION
We’re on a side street close to two lovely pubs and only two minutes walk away from Pimlico tube station (Victoria Station is 15 mins walk or 5 on the bus). Other fantastic local spots include the Tate Britain (4 mins), the famous Regency Cafe (7 mins), a choice of green spaces (St George’s Gardens and Bessborough Gardens are my favourites) and a whole host of different shops all within 10 minutes.
ABOUT ME
I’m 26 and work nearby as a management consultant. I love architecture, vintage fashion, and socialising either in the flat or out on the town.
ABOUT YOU
I’m flexible about whoever might want to move in, although my preference is for someone not too far off my age and who is comfortable with a sociable setting — I enjoy inviting friends over and would also be delighted to spend time with you as well. Please tell me a bit about yourself in your response!
THE CONTRACT
The current contract is valid up until the end of June next year: you would be replacing my housemate on this contract, with the option for us to negotiate for a renewal with the landlord at this time. Bills are not included (~£120 additional a month) and rent is due in 6-month increments: £7215 each in October for the Jan-Jun period. If you move in subsequent to this, it would need to be reimbursed pro-rated to my outgoing housemate.
Please do get in touch if you’re interested, depending on availability we can organise a visit. I apologise if I’m not able to respond to everyone.
Best wishes,
Oliver
