Plaistow large double master room bills inc £480

Hi 😊 We are looking for a easy going flatmate for our chilled out, cosy east London terraced house which will be available from the 11th August/possibly evening of 10th. Short term may be considered but would preferably like to get someone who wants to stay long term!

The rent will be £480 including heat, water, electricity, council tax, internet. We will also require a £400 deposit. It’s not necessary to sign a long term lease of any kind and just a months notice is sufficient should you want to move out.

Your room is large, and on the 1st floor with two big windows making it very good value for the money and perfect for anyone who works from home. It includes a double bed and drawers, desk&chair (you would need your own wardrobe if the rail beside the bed isn’t enough for you) but if you have your own furniture it shouldn't be a problem to move anything you don't need into the storage shed out back/under stairs cupboard.

You would be living with EJ a 27 year old British female who works for a library (currently working from home due to Covid) , Roisin a 38 year old British female who’s a chef, as well as two lovely cats Willow and Kiarra. I am the one who’s leaving to move in with my bf and just helping set up viewing for them. This is most definitely not a party house and we do like to keep things quite peaceful as much as possible since London is so busy we love having somewhere quiet to come home to. We do like to have a chat and catch up now / then and think it’s important to support and be there for one another (especially during Covid) but do very much have our own lives!

The transport into The City and Shoreditch sort of area is quite quick with the closet station being either Upton park or Plaistow on the District/Hammersmith and city lines. City mapper says Upton Park is 18 minutes walk but I can verify it’s more like 13-15 unless you are a very slow walker. There is also buses that stop in front of the station that can get you home in about 7 minutes max. Stratford is just over 20 minutes by bus for Central line or you can also be at Canning Town in 20ish minutes by bus which has great connections on the Jubilee line/DLR to everywhere. It’s walking distance to all main food shops with a great fully stocked off licence 2 minutes away for if you’re feeling lazy!

We keep things tidy but are also not too over the top about it and are currently using a weekly cleaning rota. Most importantly though we would like to have someone who knows how to clean up after themselves/respect the common areas/shared items of the house.

The house is a very old house (we think has lots of lovely character😊) which is why we have some of the cheapest rent you'll find in London. If you're someone who's into everything being brand new, perfect condition then this house isn't for you. There is also a garden out back (needs some TLC ) with a seating area which is quite nice to sit in during the summer months which does have some space to grow stuff in should you be into that. Smoking is also no problem if it's kept in the garden/outside but definitely not permitted in the house.
