Description
Space will soon become available in our amazing terraced house in Poplar, located on a quiet cul-de-sac and very close to the DLR (All Saints, Poplar) and Canary Wharf (for the Elizabeth and Jubilee lines, Overground). You can walk to Canary Wharf in 15 mins.
The space is actually spread across 2 rooms, one smaller one which is bright and cosy with a big window which is attached via internal double doors to a larger room with 2x wardrobes and a fireplace (decorative). Both rooms also have their own external doors to the hallway. You’ll be at the back of the house with a view of the garden and it’s very quiet. The room comes with a near new king size bed and a standing desk. There are inbuilt wardrobes and drawers. There is ample storage in your own attic accessible by only you from within the bedroom.
The room is located on the third level of the house where you will have primary run of the whole top level — there is some office space used by us. There is also a bathroom which will be yours, it is used by one of us maybe 5% of the time to go to the toilet occasionally. There is a separate laundry and shared kitchen/ living room on the ground floor.
The house is grand, ornately decorated with a mix of modern and Victorian features (including original coal Auga) and we’ve furnished it to a high standard throughout. We have installed a bunch of smart home features (such as lighting, smart thermostats etc).
Rent does not include bills which will be £280 per month for high speed broadband, gas, electric, water, council tax band E and cleaning once a fortnight.
We are a couple working as a pub manager and wfh software engineer. We’re looking for someone who is quiet, chilled and tends to keep to themselves like we do, although we welcome some chats and maybe a glass of wine together occasionally! The room would be suitable for a professional or mature student. We mesh well with those working an unconventional schedule (e. g. hospitality, healthcare) as well.
