THE OFFER
(Sort let only) We are looking for a new roommate to join us in our lovely flat in Langdon Park, our current flatmate is moving to Manchester so in need of a new person to move in until the current contract ends
The room is only available until FEBRUARY 20th 2025. We are happy to consider move in dates after the New Year.
THE ROOM
A double room available in our great three bed flat share. The room comes with a desk, bed and wardrobe. The room has amazing views over O2 Arena, Canary Wharf and the City of London.
The room comes in at £1000 pcm. We will consider weekly rates at £235pw. The flat also comes with nice modern bathroom (with bath), which would be shared between two - one of the other rooms comes with an en-suite. The building is also pet friendly - anyone with pets is very welcome to apply.
THE FLAT
The flat comes as part of a new build, managed building (building opened a few years ago and we were one of the first to move in) and comes with all of the modern amenities you could possible need (on-site gym, private penthouse work space for home-working, dishwasher, washing machine, car park (extra cost of £100 p/m) managed reception & parcel service. The flat is located on the 16th floor of the 22 storey building , so comes with some incredible views of London, looking over Liverpool Street/London Central skyline on one side, and great views of The O2 Arena in the other direction.
As we spend quite a lot of time in the flat still, we do try to keep it clean (ish) and would be looking for someone to do the same. However more importantly, we want someone to feel comfortable calling this their home.
THE AREA
The building is situated (literally) above Langdon Park DLR station (although you barely hear the DLR due to height of the building/quiet nature of the line itself). Langdon Park itself is a bit 'up and coming' and we wouldn't think of it necessarily as a hub for culture, but does have everything we need. There is both a Coop and a Tesco about 5-7 minutes walk away, Chrisp Street market is round the corner too. It does have the odd gem of a restaurant (particularly Donasao Café around the corner, which does a cracking eggs benedict for brunch or a beer in the evening).
Despite this, the area is super well connected to getting to other place, with Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, Hackney etc all very easily reachable within 10-15 minutes. There are also a number of green spaces nearby to enjoy.
THE HOUSEMATES
We are a pretty social house and spend a good amount of time together. You'd be sharing with Nicolo (30) and myself (Matt, 30).
Nicolo is Dutch/Italian and works in Real Estate . He's a bit of a whizz in the kitchen (particularly Italian food!), enjoys wine, music, TV, current affairs, and is also prone to a good night out. He moved to London a couple of years ago, having been studying out in Madrid for the few years prior to that.
I'm 30 and am working in Digital Media. I'm considerably much less of a whizz in the kitchen but can make up for it with poor attempts at humour and a keenness to hear all about whatever Karen's been annoying you about in your job or your shit date with Chad or Danielle...
We're old friends and like to hang out, and would be keen for someone else who wants this too. We both enjoy a drink/party now and again, but are also respectful of space and are looking for someone who'll be social and chilled around the house. We are ending the contract on the 20th February, so this would only be a short let.
