I’m currently looking for a new flatmate to replace me.
Rent: £790
Bills: £120 ( council tax, electricity + wifi)
Additional costs: heating/ hot water is around £115 every 3 months
Water bill is £100 every 6 months
This amount varies on usage and time of year
The area:
Poplar is very well connected
DLR ( east India) - 10 minute walk
Jubilee line ( Canning Town) - 17 minute walk
District line ( Bromley by bow) - 17 minute walk
Bus route D8 takes you to Canary Wharf or Stratford in 10 minutes
Canary Wharf if also walking distance if you like a walk ( approximately 25 minutes)
DLR can get you to Woolwich, Greenwich, Canary Wharf and Stratford within 20 minutes.
Living here:
I am the longest standing tenant in this flat and have lived here for 6 years, I consider this place my home and not a flatshare. We have a Sainsburys local down stairs, Morrisons, Lidl, Starbucks and Superdrug all located in Canning Town.
There’s a PureGym which is a 10 minute walk. It’s a relatively quiet area as we are not on a main roads. There has been lots of growth in the area in the past recent years which is attracting a very modern living vibe, many new build flats have recently been built alongside additional amenities to assist with the growth in neighbourhood.
The room itself is quite cozy, however we have a large kitchen/ dining room space and a balcony which I often spend my time in. You’ll be sharing the bathroom with 1 other flatmate as the other flatmate has a separate en-suite/
Current flatmates
Abbie: 27 year old girl who works in recruitment and works from home on Wednesdays. Abbie is a very socialable person, happy to go out for a wine or dinner or chill infront of the TV but also happy to do her own thing.
Jae: Jae is also 27. She just is a vet and works quite long hours so isn’t around as often. She enjoys gaming so spends most of her time in her room unless she’s cooking.
We all very friendly, clean and tidy and respect eachother space but also enjoy good catch ups after a long day.
As someone who has lived here for a long time, I want to make sure the person replacing me is the right fit. Drop me a message if you think this could be you ☺️
