Double Room in Poplar, Canary Wharf (gay friendly)

Hi,

I'm looking for a male flatmate to rent a small double room in my friendly three-bedroom maisonette.

I like to think the house feels like a home, warm, welcoming and comfortable. We have a shared living room, dining area and a lovely south-facing garden with views towards Canary Wharf.

I also have a friendly rescue dog called Monty (pictured). He's affectionate once he gets to know you, although he can be a little nervous at first.

The Home
Upstairs are three bedrooms and the main bathroom. Downstairs you'll find the kitchen, an additional WC, and a bright living room with wooden flooring. The garden is a real bonus, especially in the summer.

I'm looking for someone who wants to live in a relaxed, respectful home. We all value cleanliness, consideration and keeping the house peaceful. Friends and family are always welcome, but this isn't a party house, and I'm not looking for someone who has overnight guests.

Around 10 minutes to Canary Wharf (Jubilee & Elizabeth lines)

Bus stop outside with routes 15, 115 and D6 to Trafalgar Square, Aldgate East and Bethnal Green

The room is at the back of the property, making it bright, quiet and overlooking Canary Wharf.

Current Flatmates
You'll be sharing with:
Me (Simon), 46, self-employed furniture dealer.
The other lodger is a 34-year-old Scottish guy who works in HR.

We're both friendly, easy going, and occasionally share a drink or meal together, while also respecting each other's space.

Housekeeping
We're pretty tidy and clean up after ourselves. With Monty around, I usually run the vacuum around most days to keep on top of the dog hair. It's appreciated if everyone washes up after cooking and gives the kitchen a quick wipe before heading to bed.

Working From Home
You're welcome to work from the lounge 2–3 days a week, but it isn't really suitable as a full-time office as it's our main shared living space. I split my time between working from home and my furniture studio, and the other lodger works from a desk in their bedroom.
