Description
Double room in big 2 BR flat in Putney from late May / early June. £650 pcm.
ABOUT ME: I'm in my 30's and work in external relations. I am friendly, sociable and tidy and am looking for someone similar. I like all of the normal things - meeting up with friends for a glass of wine (or two!), staying fit (running, cycling, etc), travelling (last year's big trip was to Yellowstone), a nice walk and a Sunday roast, going to the cinema, volunteering for charity, etc.
THE FLAT: The flat is big for London standards, and with the rent having not gone up in five years, it is quite the bargain as well! It has two double bedrooms with a lot of built-in storage. We also have a large lounge and separate kitchen with a dining area.
The flat is part of the gorgeous Highlands Heath mansion block, which includes a parking place, squash and tennis courts, cycle storage and lovely gardens surrounding the flats.
THE AREA: The flat is located on Putney Heath, at the top of Putney High Street. If you want to have a look, our postcode is SW15 3TX. It is a quick 10 minute bus ride or lovely 15 minute walk to Putney Rail (for fast trains to Vauxhall, Clapham and Waterloo) or East Putney Tube (District Line). The flat also has a parking spot and easy access to the A3.
The area is lovely and green. There are walking/running/cycling trails on Putney Heath and into Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park right outside the flat. The best part is the Telegraph pub nearby, which has a nice beer garden for sunny summer afternoons and half price prosecco on a Friday night.
THE DETAILS: The room is available from late May / early June. The ideal move in date would be 3 or 4 June.
The rent for the room is £650 per month. The bills are around £110 per person per month for wi-fi, electricity, water, TV license, contents insurance, council tax and communal supplies for the flat. Heat and hot water are included in the rent, which is handy for cold winter days!
There are no reference checks or annoying admin fees to worry about, as the lease and bills are in my name (so you would sublet from me) and the contract is on a rolling month to month basis. The deposit is £900 (roughly six weeks rent) and held in a deposit protection scheme.
Ideally I am interested in someone looking to stay at least 6 months or more, but would also be happy to discuss shorter lets or Monday-Friday lets as well.
INTERESTED? I would love to hear from you. Please email me with more information about yourself, and we can set up a viewing.
